Connect 3CX with Salesforce in Saudi Arabia

A native 3CX CRM template shows caller ID from Salesforce, pops the matching record on ring, enables Click2Call, and journals every call as a Salesforce activity — configured by ECOLOR Technologies.

The integration is server-side and central for the whole team, and works on 3CX PRO and Enterprise editions. We tune Saudi +9665XXXXXXXX number matching and decide which Salesforce object to match.

3CX Salesforce integration

What is the 3CX Salesforce integration?

The 3CX Salesforce integration is a native, server-side connection that uses the built-in Salesforce CRM template inside 3CX to match caller numbers against Salesforce records (Lead, Contact or Account), display the customer name on ring, pop the matching record automatically, and journal calls as Salesforce Tasks/Activities. It requires 3CX PRO or Enterprise edition, with V20 Update 9 as the stable GA baseline.

Because the template runs on the 3CX server, there is no need to install a separate add-on on every agent machine individually; the API/OAuth credentials are managed centrally from the 3CX Admin Console. The screen-pop surfaces through the 3CX browser extension (Chrome/Edge) or the web client, while matching and journaling happen centrally across the whole system.

ECOLOR Technologies’ role is to configure this integration for the reality of Saudi business: normalizing numbers to E.164 +966, matching local 05x mobile numbers against their international form, choosing the correct object to search (Lead vs Contact vs Account), displaying Arabic names correctly, and advising when custom work or AutoConnect is warranted.

  • Caller ID from Salesforce records before you answer
  • Automatic screen-pop of the customer record in the browser on ring or answer
  • Click2Call directly from within Salesforce
  • Automatic journaling of answered and missed calls as Salesforce activities
  • Optional auto-create of a lead or contact for unknown callers

What the integration does

Caller ID from Salesforce

Matches the inbound number to a Lead, Contact or Account and shows the name before you answer, so the agent knows who is calling instantly.

Screen-pop

Opens the matching Salesforce record in the browser (3CX extension or web client) on ring or answer, with no manual searching.

Click2Call

Dial straight from a number inside Salesforce through 3CX without keying digits, reducing errors and lifting call volume.

Call journaling

Logs every inbound and outbound call, answered or missed, as a Task/Activity on the customer record with time and duration.

Auto-create leads

Optionally creates a new Salesforce Lead or Contact automatically for any unknown caller so no prospect is lost.

Central setup

Credentials and matching are configured once in the 3CX Admin Console and applied server-side to the whole team.

How ECOLOR sets it up

  1. Assess

We review your 3CX edition (PRO/Enterprise), your Salesforce structure (Lead/Contact/Account and custom fields), current workflows and goals.

  2. Connect API/OAuth

We enable the Salesforce template in the 3CX Admin Console and connect access via server-side OAuth/API, securely and centrally.

  3. Number matching (+966/E.164)

We configure normalization to E.164 +966 and matching of local 05x mobiles, and set the match type (exact/partial).

  4. Journaling & object mapping

We decide which Salesforce object is searched and where call activities are written, and set up auto-create if needed.

  5. Test & handover

We test inbound and outbound calls, screen-pop and journaling, then hand over the system with documentation and team training.

Saudi deployment notes & limits

Saudi numbers are often entered in local form (05XXXXXXXX) while Salesforce may store them in international form (+9665XXXXXXXX) or a mix. To make matching succeed, ECOLOR configures normalization to E.164 +966 and reconciles the local and international forms, choosing exact or partial matching depending on your data quality.

We decide which Salesforce object is searched first: does the system match a Lead, a Contact or an Account? The choice depends on your sales cycle; we set the search priority and ensure Arabic names display correctly so the agent sees a familiar name on ring.

Native 3CX journaling only writes call activities (Task/Activity); it does not run outbound campaigns, bulk dialing, or complex custom objects and fields. When those are needed — outbound campaigns, automated dialing, custom distribution logic or reporting — that is where ECOLOR AutoConnect applies (an ECOLOR-developed tool, not a native 3CX function).

Frequently asked questions

Which 3CX edition is required?
Salesforce CRM integration requires the 3CX PRO or Enterprise edition; the Standard edition does not support it. The recommended stable baseline is V20 Update 9.
Which Salesforce editions/objects are supported?
The integration works with Salesforce editions that allow API/OAuth access, and matches Lead, Contact and Account objects. ECOLOR helps choose the best object to search based on your sales cycle.
Can it auto-create leads for unknown callers?
Yes. There is an option to automatically create a new Salesforce Lead or Contact for any caller that matches no existing record, so no prospect is lost.
Does it support Saudi +966 matching?
Yes. ECOLOR configures normalization to E.164 +966 and matching of local 05x mobiles against their international form, with exact or partial matching depending on your data.
Is it server-side or per-agent?
It is server-side and central; credentials and matching are configured once in the 3CX Admin Console and applied to the whole team. The screen-pop surfaces via the agent’s browser extension or web client.
Can it run outbound campaigns / bulk dialing?
Native journaling logs calls only; bulk dialing and outbound campaigns need ECOLOR AutoConnect (an ECOLOR-developed tool, not a native 3CX function).
How is setup handled?
ECOLOR Technologies handles setup end to end: assessment, OAuth/API connection, +966 matching, journaling and object mapping, then testing and handover with team training.
